My life

Just sitting here at Panther Hall's front desk listing to Yahoo music. This summer has been jam packed! But I still am sad I missed 3 opportunities to take everyone's money in poker!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (BURN!!)

May: Houston, with two trips to Florida for a retreat (student ambassador) and a conference (NACURH - national association of college and university residence halls)

June: Roadtrip with Theo to Michigan... stops in

1. GA (Okeefenokee Natioanl Swamp/Stephen F. Foster State Park - i do not recommend for the summer... too many mosquitos)

Insert: The Short Cut: Off the main road detailed by AAA, and off to explore on the back roads. It worked out well except that one time we missed our exit!! Damn small towns... lol

2. North Carolina/Tennessee (Great Smokey Mountain National Park - hiked for 3 days - on the Appalacian Trail!!!!!!!! IT was sooooo awesome! except when I discovered I had 2 ticks - not til Ohio... gross!)

3.Michigan (saw grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins... Theo and I bot got up on one ski at Pine Lake!!) Cities visited: Auburn Hills, Oakland Lake, Holland, Pine Lake, Kalamazoo

4. Indiana - the Shipshewana auctions where I bought way too many things, including service for 10 place setting for $7.50!! IU to visit with Dave and Justin... nice place, good friends, awesome Euchre! Thanks for the great time.

5. Kentucy - Mamoth Cave National Park... took two cave tours, one by candlelight... very awesome! Also went to Bowling Green to go on a famous water cave tour... total jip... only about 500 or 1000 ft. of water... pretty cool inside though... so i guess not a total jip.... but after all, just a cave

6. Cumberland Gap: Need I say more... j/k a post/main starting point for the Oregon Trail (i think)

7. HOME: the last strech was about 14 hours of driving and minimal stops... yuck!

July: Cruise to the Bahamas with Theo's family... went snorkelying and saw the Atlantis... awesome aquariam. the last day his brother broke a glass on his forhead and now he has scars!!! Started RHA internship. Found out I had to do office hours and RHA hours. Became the SGA Housing Rep... but I have to run again in October and actually have residents vote for me (only other reps voted for me b/c emergency election)... shouldn't be hard to get it again (I hope)

August: End RHA internship... accomplished: recycling program and housing officials not too please with me (at times... oh well) Hurricane ruined most of the events RHA planned over the summer... turns out that if the University is closed, then no one can hold events.

Signing Off
